CCR report

How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  My product uses conventions by showing why pens are important for school. Many time students uses pencils for a test and can easily change their answer. With pens you cannot erase therefore no cheating. This helps ingage students more in class. If they know they cannot cheat they will pay for attention. And they will study harder therefore they already know the material ahead of time. This reprints issues in school by kids needed better writing utensils. Paper-mate has very good pens and works well. By showing this it influnces kids to buy better material. 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?   My product   engages with audiences by showing good products to use for school. most of the time kids don’t take school importantly, when using the product kids could feel more enthusiastic about working. I also feel that th

This is my final product. I had a lot of fun making this project. I learned a lot of different things, and tried out new stuff as well. I feel in the future that projects like this will be easy now that I have the hang of it. I am pretty proud of this video and think I did a good job. I cannot wait for the next one, because this was a lot of fun for me. I also did this by myself, which I enjoyed. I am excited for everyone too see it.

Finishing up editing blog

Last class I was only halfway done with my editing. For today I choose to add music and effects. I first started with music, which took some time. it had to be the right music and fit in well. I went through songs for about 10 minutes. I listened to them and saw if they would fit in well. After I found the one I wanted I put it in the video. This part was fun with the music. It took a few to get the music right. I needed to turn off the background noises. Then once I did that I needed to figure out how loud I wanted the music to be. I finally got the music at the perfect level and moved on to effects. For this I didn't know if I wanted to add certain effects or not. After look at some I added tradition effects to each slide. This made it look more clean and neat. Then once I was done with this I reviewed. I made sure I had everything I needed and all the requirements. Then I watched my video a few times to make sure there was no mistakes and that I didn't need to fix anything.

Editing blog

For the first day of editing I started with downloading iMovie. I never used iMovie before so I needed to look on YouTube how to use it. After I watched a few videos I kind understood it, but not perfectly. Just to be safe I downloaded another editing app, to see which one I liked better. I've never made a video that needed to be edited like this, so it was all a learning process for me. iMovie was actually easy for me to use once you get the hang of it. I chose to delete the other app because you needed to pay for it. To start with the editing, I chose to add all the clips together. Today I wanted to focus on making sure there was nothing I needed to cut out or add. After adding all the clips together, I had to cut some clips out, and make sure shorter. I did this until I hit 30 seconds. I thought it would suck cutting out clips but it actually made it look better and more organized. Once I got my clips together, I needed to add title slides. These took a second to make and

Fixing clips filming blog

Fir the second day of filming I had a few things to do. Last Thursday I thought I was done but it turns out I was not. After re-watching my clips I realized I wanted to re-take some. So that means going back outside and trying again. Since the weather was a lot better today It went much easier. I also tried using different types of angles to give it more effect. This was about 15 minutes of watching a clip and seeing if I liked it or not. And if I didn't I re-did it until I liked it. This is the first project in our class so the better I do it, the more experience I have for the other ones. Once I was done out side I sat there watching them one more time. I also had to do some title shots so I could see how long everything was together. This took some time to crop videos and put them together to see if I have the exact time. This was hard because sometimes clips didn't need to be cut. However they were too long and I still had other ones. My storyboard was actually a big help

Filming blog

To start off with my filming I first made sure I had all the products I needed. After that I then went over my storyboard to know where I needed to film and what I needed to film. Once all this was done I began filming. It took around 30 minutes to get all my shots right. The weather that day wasn't the best to I had to pause to wait for the wind, or to make sure it wasn't going to start raining. Filming went really good. Since I am working by myself, there was some complications. It got hard sometimes trying to film certain things. But I did end up doing it, and getting all the shots needed. I chose to film on the tables on the patio. That way the background was nice, and looked better then a classroom. I made a commercial for Papermate pens. So it wasn't too hard to film by myself. I also had to wait for good lighting. And I needed to get all the positions right. With the research I did, I knew what to do. I also had a lot of inspiration, so I didn't go into it blind
